The Simple Woman's Daybook #31

FOR TODAY... June 1, 2010

Outside my window... Dark, black skies, and a bit of cold air from the rain that God just blessed us with a few hours ago...

I am thinking... Of healthy snacks for the kids to bring with them once school starts again next week.

I am thankful for... God's blessings and provisions everyday for me and my family.

I am wearing... A light blue shirt-dress with Tweety printed on it.

I am remembering... To make my lesson plans for my high school students next week.

I am going... To remind the kids about spending their weekly school allowance wisely.

I am reading... Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris

I am hoping... The weather will be cooler so that we can save on our electricity bill (airconditioning bill = way too high!)

On my mind... Back to school for DS and DD, and back to work for me.

From the learning rooms... One more week to go before the kids go back to school...

Noticing that... The rainy season is slowly making its presence felt, especially in the afternoons.

Pondering these words... For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. -- Romans 8:38-39

From the kitchen... Creamy Pasta Carbonara for my DS, and milky Macaroni Soup for my DD. These two have different tastes in food. :)

Around the house... DD is beside me, playing Club Penguin on her laptop, and DS and DH fell asleep beside each other while watching tv...

One of my favorite things... Cold nights and cool mornings...

From my picture journal...

Thanks to Peggy for allowing me to take part in The Simple Woman's Daybook. Blessings and have a great week, everyone!

  1. Anne,
The verse that you are pondering is one of my dad's favorite verses. He loved the 8th chapter of Romans so much that at his funeral, we asked the minister to bring a gospel message from that chapter! On his headstone we have this very verse. What a comfort it is to remind us that nothing can EVER separate us from God's love for us.
    Lovely daybook...

  2. Hello Annesta, thank you for stopping by my blog porch. Your Dad's funeral service must have been a very touching one. The verse from Romans is indeed a beloved verse full of promise and assurance. I love it too, and the comfort it brings to me...

Hope you don't mind if I add your site to my blog list side bar. Have a blessed week. Praying your Mom will get her health back soon. :)
